What Weights Do I Need for Weighted Legs?Updated 10 months ago

If you're looking to start your weight training plan for legs, it's crucial to have the right weights on hand. Here is an overview of the recommended weights you will need for this program.

Equipment for the initial phases:

Fundamentals - Intermediate - Advanced - Pro - Expert - Master

Dumbbells:

For flexible and progressive increments, especially in the initial phases, we recommend a selection of dumbbells with the following weight classes:

  • 5 kg
  • 6 kg
  • 7 kg
  • 8 kg
  • 9 kg
  • 10 kg
  • 12.5 kg
  • 15 kg

These weight increments allow for fine adjustments to the load, suited to your progress and the specific exercises in your training plan.

Barbell:

The base for your barbell set should be a 20 kg barbell. To gradually increase your load, we recommend the following weight plates:

  • 2 x 2.5 kg
  • 2 x 5 kg
  • 2 x 10 kg
  • 2 x 20 kg

With this combination, you can equip your barbell up to a total weight of 75 kg, which should be sufficient for most exercises and up to the "Master" phase of the training plan.

Advancement for later phases:

Grandmaster - Legend - Champion - Gamechanger

In the final phases of your training, it may become necessary to further increase the weight to meet the advancing requirements. For these phases, you should be able to gradually increase the total load to up to 150 kg. This will allow you to continuously make progress and adjust the intensity of your training accordingly.
